Style lovers can rejoice: The deep, bold green is a shade anyone can work into their wardrobe. It’s luxurious without being stuffy, soothing without being bland, a shade reminiscent of nature’s beauty that’s anything but granola. Albano, who earned a spot as a top two contender on the hit show, The Ultimate W Expert Challenge, says green just happens to be one of her favourite colours.
“It fresh and crisp, yet earthy and warm, and it works well with most skin tones. It represents prosperity, abundance, growth and, of course, money and lord knows, the world could use a little more of these things!”
The hue is enjoying a major boost after a strong showing at New York Fashion Week, as Diane von Furstenberg,
Nanette Lepore, Tracy Reese and Tory Burch wove shades of emerald into their spring collections. The bold green made as much of a statement head to toe as it did paired with graphic black and white and rich browns and corals.
Is this green growing on you? Not only is it versatile, but the colour’s newfound popularity means there will be plenty of emerald gems to be found in stores this spring.
Albano offers these tips on going green for fashion fans of all ages:
